If you’re in need of making a trip out to your local bank on June 20, we have some bad news for you.
Like the post office and DMV, banks close their doors for federal holidays and do not operate during their normal business hours.
There is some good news though! While most banks will be closed on Juneteenth, you will still be able to utilize mobile banking apps for select services.
You will also be able to access ATMs to make certain transactions, as ATMs will remain open for the holiday as well.
If you bank at a locally owned bank rather than a chain such as Chase or Fifth Third, it might not hurt to call as they might be operating on limited hours for the holiday instead of closing their doors entirely.
Chase Banks across the US will be closed on June 20, 2022, in observance of Juneteenth.
While Juneteenth falls on June 19, the holiday will be observed on Monday, June 20 due to the holiday falling on a weekend
— as it is customary for federal holidays which fall on the weekend to be observed on the closest working weekday.
Although you won’t be able to make a stop at Chase Bank on June 20, you’ll still be able to use the bank’s mobile app to take care of various tasks and can also still access ATMs to make select transactions on the holiday.
