Tuesday, Saints signed former Jaguars QB

This past Tuesday, quarterback Jake Luton was signed to the New Orleans Saints' practise squad.

The deal was announced by New Orleans, and it coincides with the team's decision to promote linebacker Chase Hansen from the Saints' practise squad to the active roster.

Luton was selected by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the sixth round of the 2020 NFL Draft after he threw for 28 touchdowns and just 3 interceptions in his senior year at Oregon State.

Luton threw for 624 yards, two touchdowns, and six interceptions in three games, including a season-high four picks against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He signed with the Seattle Seahawks last year but never played for them, spending the year instead on the practise squad of the Miami Dolphins.

In February, the Jaguars re-signed Luton to a reserve/future deal, but they waived him in October. They re-signed him two weeks ago, but he didn't make the final cut for the team's 53-man roster.
