The NFL community responds to the Lamar Jackson contract news

The Baltimore Ravens and former MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson are still in contract discussions with just a few days till the start of the NFL season.

Negotiations have been described as "an uphill struggle" because Jackson represents himself and is allegedly demanding a fully guaranteed deal.

The two parties are running out of time to come to an agreement with less than a week until the Ravens' season opener against the New York Jets on Sept. 11

The Cleveland Browns granted new quarterback Deshaun Watson a fully guaranteed contract, but Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti would never agree to one, 

according to CBS NFL source Josina Anderson. Anderson did say, though, that the Ravens had sent Jackson a better offer.

Anderson tweeted, "Countdown to the Lamar Jackson contract decision.
