Fans and players scuffle during a Texas high school football game
Extreme elation and despair characterise Texas high school football games. Some times, as last Friday night, such fervour results in a violent altercation.
WFAA reported that a fight broke out between students from Dallas Roosevelt High School and Fort Worth Eastern Hills High School in the dying seconds of their game.
The UIL has been made aware of the incident that occurred during the high school football game between Fort Worth Eastern Hills and Dallas Roosevelt on September 8, 2022
The school and the local district executive committee are conducting an investigation and can discipline students who were involved. UIL will keep on collecting data.
Participants in the brawl will be suspended for the first half of their next game.
On Friday, Eastern Hills will host Kennedale from Texas, while Roosevelt will travel to Italy to take on the Wildcats on Thursday.
