Dodgers star criticises opponent
Mookie Betts praised Mets pitcher Jacob deGrom on Wednesday, and David Vassegh didn't like it.
Mookie's homer was a monstrous 415-footer off a slider. Betts' 32nd homer tied his career record.
Betts praised deGrom after the game, the Orange County Register writes.
Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts called Kershaw "the finest, maybe ever" "Nobody does" (compare). I believe the numbers support it.
David Vassegh didn't like Mookie's statement. Betts may have been playing games, but Roberts ripped him on Dodger Talk for praising deGrom.
"Mookie! Is this to boost his ego before crushing him in October? Mookie Betts? DeGrom isn't the best. Jacob deGrom isn't your generation's best.
DeGrom has made 30 starts just four times in his nine-year career. DeGrom has just 204 career starts despite his talent. Dizzy Dean started 230 games and relieved in 87.
