Rory McIlroy tosses a fan's remote-controlled ball into the sea.

Pujols hit a go-ahead home run in the ninth inning on Sunday and greeted Pirates supporters.

Sunday's 4-3 win against the Pirates was Albert Pujols' 697th home run. The homer put him ahead of Alex Rodriguez and he made a friendly gesture afterward.

According to Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat, Matt and Samantha Brown caught the ball and met Pujols after the game. They attended the game on Samantha's father's anniversary.

When they gave Pujols the ball, he rejected, saying it would mean more to Samantha than to him. He autographed two more baseballs.

Pujols has homered in back-to-back games this season. His OPS since the All-Star break is.866. That's his best mark since 2011 with St. Louis before joining the Angels.

Pujols has 21 games remaining to hit 700 homers. He might join Barry Bonds, Henry Aaron, and Babe Ruth (714). Only Aaron and Pujols have 700 homers and 3,000 hits.
